warning When changing cards it is imperative that you not only turn off the power, but also pull out the power plug. Also beware of static electricity!

Time code reader (optional)

Put the card in a free slot and follow the instructions in the card manual. Please connect the sound/video source and test the time code reader with its own programs to see if everything is okay before you proceed. There are usually no problems with these cards, but you may have to move jumpers if there is a conflict with eg. a graphics card. If this is the case, check the computer properties for I/O (Alpermann) or memory (Adrienne) in the Device Manager to see address allocation and move jumpers accordingly. When you are satisfied that everything runs smoothly, take a note of the time code reader address.

TV card (optional)

Put the card in a free slot and follow the instructions in the card manual. Please test it with its own programs to see if everything is okay before you proceed. If the card will not run properly there probably is an IRQ conflict. You may also solve a few problems by downloading and installing the latest drivers for the card. There isn't any harm done in installing the latest version of DirectX, either.

Before you proceed, please make sure you have set the TV card to run in overlay mode, else the subtitles will flicker.

warning It is imperative that the TV card has its own IRQ not shared with any other devices, else it may not run!

warning Please install the hardware and test it with its own programs before installing the TitleVision program!
